Common Issues & Solutions
❌ "Please log into Instagram first"
Problem: Extension can't access Instagram data
Solution:
- Open Instagram.com in a new tab
- Log into your Instagram account
- Return to the extension and try again
- If still not working, refresh the Instagram tab
⏱️ Data collection is slow or stuck
Problem: Update takes too long or doesn't complete
Solution:
- Check your internet connection
- Reduce the number of Reels to collect (Settings → Reels Count)
- Try updating one account at a time
- Close other tabs to free up browser resources
- Wait a few minutes and try again (Instagram may be rate-limiting)
📊 No data showing after update
Problem: Extension collected data but nothing displays
Solution:
- Check if the account has public Reels (private accounts won't work)
- Verify the Instagram URL is correct (should be instagram.com/username/)
- Try removing and re-adding the account
- Check browser console for errors (F12 → Console tab)
🔄 Extension not updating or showing old data
Problem: Data seems outdated
Solution:
- Click "Update Data" to refresh metrics
- Check the "Last Updated" timestamp
- Clear browser cache and reload the extension
- Reinstall the extension if problem persists
💾 Export not working
Problem: Can't export HTML reports
Solution:
- Check if you have data to export (update data first)
- Allow pop-ups for the extension
- Check browser's download settings
- Try exporting with fewer accounts selected
Features Explained
🆕 "NEW" Badge
Reels that weren't in the previous update are marked as "NEW". This helps you spot fresh content immediately.
📈 Growth Tracking
The extension tracks view count changes between updates. When a Reel's views increase significantly, it indicates viral momentum - perfect for identifying trending content early.
🔍 Filtering & Sorting
Filter by account or content type, and sort by views, likes, or engagement rate to find exactly what you're looking for.
📊 HTML Reports
Export professional reports with interactive charts, filterable tables, and growth analytics. Perfect for client presentations or team meetings.
⚙️ Reels Count Setting
Adjust how many Reels to collect per account (default: 500). Lower numbers = faster updates, higher numbers = more comprehensive data.
